The Muslim Association of Wyoming Valley (MAWV) is devoted to uplifting our community through compassion, service, and unity. Rooted in the values of dignity, inclusivity, and mutual respect, we strive to create a welcoming home for all—regardless of faith, background, or circumstance. As a nonprofit organization, our mission extends beyond the walls of the masjid. We work to strengthen the social fabric of our region through charitable outreach, educational programs, and interfaith collaboration. With integrity and a spirit of togetherness, MAWV is committed to supporting individuals and families, nurturing understanding, and contributing positively to the well-being of our diverse community.

Community Service

Quran Classes

We offer enriching Quran classes for adults and children, promoting spiritual development, moral grounding, and a stronger connection with faith.

Building Upgrades

Through continuous improvements to our masjid, we ensure a safe, accessible, and inspiring space for worship, learning, and community gatherings. Enhancements include security upgrades, modern technology, and beautification of key areas.

Five Pillars of Islam

Shahadah – Faith

Affirming the oneness of Allah and the message of His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Salah – Prayer

Daily prayer that nurtures discipline, peace, and closeness to Allah.

Sawm – Fasting

Fasting in Ramadan to cultivate empathy, gratitude, and spiritual focus.

Zakat – Almsgiving

Offering charity to purify wealth and uplift the vulnerable.

Hajj – Pilgrimage

A transformative journey of worship for those who are able.

The Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR) is an Islamic center serving as a masjid, school, and a gathering place for the Muslim community in the Triangle region of North Carolina.
