MAWV HISTORY

Welcome to our community center, a vibrant hub nestled in the heart of Wyoming Valley in Whitehall. As a 501c(3) non-profit organization, we have proudly served the religious, educational, and social needs of the Muslim community in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and the surrounding areas for over three decades.

Our greatest pride is rooted in our unwavering dedication to education, community development, and youth engagement. By offering spaces for growth and learning, we aim to create a brighter and more promising future for generations to come.

At our center, you’ll find an inclusive environment where individuals of all ages can connect, learn, and support one another. Whether you’re seeking spiritual nourishment, educational resources, or simply a sense of belonging, we’re here to walk alongside you on your journey.

The MAWV Center is run by a professional team of 5 staff members, with oversight provided by an elected Executive Committee. This committee reports to the Board of Trustees, consisting of 16 members who bring diverse expertise and backgrounds to the organization. Our main campus, located in Wyoming Valley, spans 35,000 square feet. It houses a mosque with a capacity of over 700 attendees, a full-time and weekend school for children and youth, as well as a multi-purpose community hall and gymnasium.

Join us as we work together to create a stronger, more compassionate community built on understanding, unity, and empowerment. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the lives of those around us and foster a more inclusive society for all.
